IndiaAI Mission Expands: Soket AI Labs, Gnani.ai & Gan.ai Join to Build Indigenous LLMs

In a big push toward AI self-reliance, the Government of India has onboarded three new startups—Soket AI Labs, Gnani.ai, and Gan.ai—to build large language models (LLMs) as part of the IndiaAI Mission.
Following the selection of Sarvam AI, these startups will help create India-specific foundational models with multilingual, speech, and reasoning capabilities.
🔹 Soket AI Labs – Building a 120B parameter open-source model for diverse sectors
🔹 Gnani.ai – Developing a 14B Voice AI model focused on real-time, multilingual speech
🔹 Gan.ai – Creating a 70B multilingual model with advanced text-to-speech
This marks a significant step in building sovereign AI infrastructure designed for India’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
